Coaches Are Needed...

Volunteer coaches are the backbone of many park district programs, including soccer, basketball, tee ball, and flag football. All volunteers are representatives of the Marengo Park District, and are given job descriptions and criminal background checks to help ensure the safety of the participants and the Park District as a whole.

Volunteer coaches fill a very important need for the Park District. They save the Park District time and money while providing a service that is in great demand. Without our volunteers, program costs would be much higher, and the fees that the park district charges for participation would be increased. These increased fees may be prohibitive for many wanting to play in recreational sports. There are many benefits to volunteering time with the Marengo Park District.

  • Contributing to the community
  • Meeting people with similar interests.
  • Spending quality time with family.
  • Helping others to develop new skills and meet new people.
  • Sharing knowledge and talent.

To register as a coach for the Marengo Park District, simply provide the front desk with your name and phone number. All interested coaches will be contacted regarding the coaches meeting.
